NFL Week 6 Betting Trends
For the first time this season, unders outperformed overs in the NFL. Well, so far anyways. The O/U record is 6-7 through the first 13 games, but there’s still one game left tonight at 7:00 PM ET.
It was a good week to bet on underdogs as well. Favorites are only 6-7 ATS in NFL week 5 action.
Four underdogs won straight-up and cashed on the moneyline. The Raiders and Dolphins were both underdogs of more than a TD, but won on the road, paying out huge prices on the ML.
US sports betting sites have been increasing totals for a couple weeks now and we’re starting to see overs hit less often already. Seven games have a total of 50+ points for NFL picks week 6.

The Seahawks, Saints, Raiders and Chargers are on a bye week.
Browns vs. Patriots Week 6 Odds and Pick
Opening Line: Patriots –9.5 / Current Line: Patriots –8.5
Opening Total: 45.5 Points / Current Total: 45.5 Points
The Patriots (2-2 / 2-2 ATS) were supposed to play the Broncos (1-3 / 3-1 ATS) in week 5, but NE has had a COVID-19 outbreak. With Newton out, Stidham is expected to start for the Patriots.
Texans vs. Titans Week 6 Odds and Pick
Opening Line: Titans –5.5 / Current Line: OTB
Opening Total: OTB / Current Total: OTB
We’ll have to wait to see where this line reopens after tonight’s Titans (3-0 / 0-3) game. The Texans (1-4 / 1-4 ATS) won their first game in W5. If HOU is an underdog, we like them on the ML.
Browns vs. Steelers Week 6 Odds and Pick
Opening Line: Steelers –5.5 / Current Line: Steelers –3.5
Opening Total: 51 Points / Current Total: 51 Points
The Browns (4-1 / 3-2 ATS) have won four games in a row! The Steelers (4-0 / 3-1 ATS) are undefeated. The home team is 4-0 ATS in the last four H2H meetings, but we like the points in this match-up.
Ravens vs. Eagles Week 6 Odds and Pick
Opening Line: Ravens –7 / Current Line: Ravens –7.5
Opening Total: 49 Points / Current Line: 46.5 Points
The Ravens (4-1 / 3-2 ATS) should have little trouble defeating the Eagles (1-3-1 / 1-4 ATS). The hook might scare some bettors away, but the Ravens will cover against the spread.
Washington vs. Giants Week 6 Odds and Pick
Opening Line: Giants –3.5 / Current Line: Giants –3
Opening Total: 44.5 Points / Current Total: 43 Points
Washington (1-4 / 2-3 ATS) are terrible. Alex Smith got back on the field on the last week, but he’ll never be the same. The Giants (0-5 / 3-2 ATS) are winless, but that’ll change in week 6.
Falcons vs. Vikings Week 6 Odds and Pick
Opening Line: Vikings –3.5 / Current Line: Vikings –3.5
Opening Total: 57 Points / Current Total: 54.5 Points
Both the Falcons (0-5 / 1-4 ATS) and Vikings (1-4 / 3-2 ATS) are struggling mightily. After firing Quinn and Dimitroff, I expect the Falcons to bounce back and pick up their first victory.
Lions vs. Jaguars Week 6 Odds and Pick
Opening Line: Lions –2.5 / Current Line: Lions –3.5
Opening Total: 52.5 Points / Current Total: 54.5 Points
The Lions (1-3 / 1-3 ATS) and Jaguars (1-4 / 2-3 ATS) are two more struggling teams. Detroit are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 on the road and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 as a favorite. Take the points here.
Bengals vs. Colts Week 6 Odds and Pick
Opening Line: Colts –9.5 / Current Line: Colts –7.5
Opening Total: 46.5 Points / Current Line: 46.5 Points
The Colts (3-2 / 3-2 ATS) just lost to the Browns by double-digits, but don’t let that fool you here, they will cover ATS. The Bengals (1-3-1 / 3-2 ATS) defense won’t be able to keep them in this game.
Bears vs. Panthers Week 6 Odds and Pick
Opening Line: Panthers –3 / Current Line: Panthers –3.5
Opening Total: 44 Points / Current Total: 44.5 Points
The Bears (4-1 / 3-2 ATS) are having a great season. Nick Foles might be this year’s Tannehill. Carolina (3-2 / 3-2 ATS) have won three games in a row. The best bet here is on the under.
Jets vs. Dolphins Week 6 Odds and Pick
Opening Line: Dolphins –8 / Current Line: Dolphins –8
Opening Total: 49.5 Points / Current Total: 48 Points
The Dolphins (2-3 / 3-2 ATS) host the winless Jets (0-5 / 0-5 ATS). Only the Cowboys have been as bad ATS as the Jets. This is a big spread for MIA to cover. We’re sitting this game out.
Packers vs. Buccaneers Week 6 Odds and Pick
Opening Line: Buccaneers –3 / Current Line: Packers –1.5
Opening Total: 52 Points / Current Total: 54 Points
The Packers (4-0 / 4-0 ATS) have been perfect this season. The Buccaneers (3-2 / 2-3 ATS) are getting healthier and could have Godwin back. With GB being on the road, this is a tough to predict.
Rams vs. 49ers Week 6 Odds and Pick
Opening Line: 49ers –3 / Current Line: Rams –3.5
Opening Total: 49.5 Points / Current Total: 50.5 Points
The 49ers (2-3 / 2-3) are struggling and have lost two games in a row. The Rams (4-1 / 3-2 ATS) are playing great. The road team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 H2H meetings. Take the Rams to cover ATS.
Chiefs vs. Bills Week 6 Odds and Pick
Opening Line: Chiefs –3 / Current Line: Chiefs –3
Opening Total: 55 Points / Current Total: 55 Points
Most books have this game OTB until the Bills (4-0 / 3-1 ATS) play tonight. The Chiefs (4-1 / 3-2 ATS) are on the road in this game and we’re taking the points with the Bills at +3.
Cardinals vs. Cowboys Week 6 Odds and Pick
Opening Line: Cowboys –3 / Current Line: Cardinals –2.5
Opening Total: 52 Points / Current Total: 54.5 Points
The Cardinals (3-2 / 3-2 ATS) and Cowboys (2-3 / 0-5 ATS) will likely be the highest-scoring game of the week. We feel the total is a little here and we’ll be all over the over at 54.5 points.
