March Madness Betting Update: Duke Favored as All Four No. 1 Seeds Reach Final Four
With all four No. 1 seeds making the Final Four for the first time since 2008, Duke has emerged as the betting favorite to win the NCAA Tournament. BetMGM lists the Blue Devils as -110 favorites, with Duke responsible for the largest share of bets and handle, making them the sportsbook’s top liability. One bettor even placed $500,000 on Duke at +350 odds.
Florida is next in popularity, with 9.1 percent of tickets and 11.7 percent of the handle. Duke will face Houston in the national semifinal, while SEC foes Auburn and Florida clash in the other matchup.
Duke is also favored at other sportsbooks: +105 at FanDuel and +110 at BetOnline.ag. Despite being the tournament’s top overall seed, Auburn has the longest odds to win it all at +500 across the board.
Auburn reached the Final Four by defeating Michigan State 70-64, while Houston rolled past Tennessee 69-50. Florida rallied past Texas Tech 84-79 and Duke dominated Alabama 85-65 to complete the Final Four lineup.
